Torrere — End User License Agreement

Effective date: 11 September 2026

This agreement is between you and Submarius LLC (“Torrere”, “we”, “us”). It covers the Torrere apps for iOS and Android and the Torrere website. By using Torrere, you accept it. If you do not accept it, do not use Torrere.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Torrere.

1. What Torrere is

Torrere is an interactive cooking assistant. You hold a conversation with an AI assistant, and that conversation edits a recipe document we store and version for you. It can import recipes from a link, a photo or pasted text, write new ones, adapt and scale them, and walk you through cooking.

Torrere is not a doctor, a dietitian or a food-safety authority. Section 4 matters.

2. Your licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Torrere on devices you own or control, for your own personal cooking. You may not sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute Torrere, reverse engineer it, or use it or its output to build a competing service.

We own Torrere — the apps, the website, the software behind them, the name and the branding. You get a licence, not ownership.

You keep ownership of what you put in — your messages, photos, recipes and profile. You give us the licence we need to run the service: to store it, send it to the AI provider named in section 5, show it back to you, and serve any recipe you choose to share at the link you create.

3. AI output can be wrong

Torrere’s responses are generated by an AI model. They can be inaccurate, incomplete or plainly wrong, including on timings, temperatures, quantities, substitutions, equipment and food safety. Torrere can also misread a photo or a web page.

You are responsible for checking anything before you act on it — especially anything involving heat, raw ingredients, preserving, canning, fermenting, or an allergy. Use your own judgement and your own senses. If something looks wrong, it may be.

4. Food safety, allergies and health

Torrere is not medical, nutritional or food-safety advice, and no part of it diagnoses, treats, cures or prevents any medical condition. Talk to a qualified professional about allergies, intolerances, medical diets, pregnancy, feeding infants, or any health condition affected by food.

Torrere lets you record allergies and dietary restrictions, and checks recipes against them. That check is a helper, not a guarantee, and there are things it structurally cannot see:

If a mistake would harm you or someone you cook for, read the ingredient list yourself and read the package yourself. Never rely on Torrere alone for an allergy that matters.

5. AI processing by Anthropic

To answer you, we send your content to Anthropic, PBC, a third-party AI provider in the United States, which processes it on our behalf and returns the response. What we send:

We ask you to agree to this on a screen in the app, before your first message. If you do not agree, the assistant cannot run. Our Privacy Policy explains how long each of these is kept, and what Anthropic may retain.

6. Web search and other people’s content

When it helps, the assistant searches the web using Anthropic’s search service and cites what it finds. Our servers retrieve the pages it reads and extract the recipe from them. Torrere does not include a web browser.

That material belongs to whoever published it. We do not control it, we do not endorse it, and we cannot vouch for it — a page found on the web can be wrong, out of date, or written to mislead. Citations are there so you can check the source. Anything you do with third-party content is between you and its owner, under their terms.

Takedowns. If you own a copyright and believe Torrere has reproduced it without permission, write to support@torrere.com with: the work, where it appears in Torrere, your contact details, a statement that you believe in good faith the use is unauthorised, a statement under penalty of perjury that your notice is accurate and you are authorised to act, and your signature. We remove or disable material properly reported to us, and we terminate repeat infringers.

7. Sharing recipes, and zero tolerance

You can publish a recipe as a link that anyone holding it can open. When you do, you are responsible for what is in it, and you confirm you have the right to share it.

Torrere has zero tolerance for objectionable content and for abusive users. Objectionable content is content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, threatening, violent, sexual, defamatory, deceptive, or designed to deceive or endanger the person reading it — including instructions that are unsafe to follow. Abusive users are people who post it, who harass or target others, or who use the sharing feature to attack Torrere or its users.

We screen shared recipes automatically before they go live and again afterwards. Every shared page carries a way to report it without an account, and any recipe you have imported can be reported, and its sharer blocked, from inside the app.

8. Things you must not do

Do not use Torrere to:

9. Reports, removal and termination

We review reports of objectionable content and abusive users and act within 24 hours — removing the content, disabling the link, or removing the user’s access, as the case requires. We may also remove content or suspend an account without a report if we find a breach of this agreement, and we may do it immediately, without notice, where someone is at risk.

If we take down something you shared, we tell you and you can ask us to look again. You can stop using Torrere at any time.

10. Subscriptions and payment

Torrere offers a limited free allowance and a paid subscription. Prices, the current allowance and what the subscription includes are shown before you buy.

On iPhone, iPad and Android, all purchases and subscriptions are handled by the App Store or Google Play. We never see your payment details, and billing, renewals, price changes, refunds and cancellations run through the store under its terms. On the web, payment is handled by Stripe.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price until you cancel. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends, or you are charged for the next one. Cancel in your App Store or Google Play account settings, or — for a web subscription — in your Torrere account. Cancelling stops the next charge; it does not refund the current period. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Where a free trial requires a card, it converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel first. Refunds on mobile are the store’s decision under its own policy.

11. Deleting your account

You can delete your account from inside the app, at Settings → Account → Delete account, and from the web at https://torrere.com/delete without going back into the app. Deleting removes your profile, your allergy and dietary data, your recipes and your chat history, and revokes every link you have shared. There is a short window to undo it; after that it is permanent and we cannot recover it. Our Privacy Policy explains what little we keep afterwards, and why.

12. No warranty

Torrere is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that Torrere will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its output will be correct or suitable for you.

13. Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to Torrere is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim and USD 50.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, and consumer rights your local law does not let you sign away.

14. Support

Support is provided by us, at support@torrere.com. No app store or platform provides support for Torrere.

15. Export and sanctions compliance

You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated by the U.S. Government as supporting terrorism, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You will not use or export Torrere in breach of U.S. export law.

16. Changes

We may change this agreement. If a change is material, we will tell you before it takes effect. Continuing to use Torrere after that means you accept the new version.

17. Governing law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of the State of Wyoming, United States have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of your local law.

If a provision is unenforceable, the rest stands. Our not enforcing something is not a waiver of it.

18. Additional terms for apps obtained from the Apple App Store

These terms apply to the Torrere app you obtained from the Apple App Store, and Apple’s terms prevail over anything inconsistent in this agreement.

  1. Acknowledgement. This agreement is between you and us only, not with Apple. We — not Apple — are solely responsible for Torrere and its content. This agreement does not provide usage rules less restrictive than, or in conflict with, the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
  2. Scope of licence. Your licence to use Torrere is non-transferable and limited to use on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, except that Torrere may be accessed by other accounts associated with you through Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
  3. Maintenance and support. We are solely responsible for maintenance and support. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services for Torrere.
  4. Warranty. We are solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. If Torrere fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app to you; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to Torrere. Any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to a warranty are our sole responsibility.
  5. Product claims. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to Torrere or your possession and use of it, including product liability claims, any claim that Torrere fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection, privacy or similar legislation.
  6. Intellectual property rights. If a third party claims Torrere or your possession and use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that claim.
  7. Legal compliance. You represent and warrant the matters in section 15 above.
  8. Developer name and address. Questions, complaints and claims about Torrere should go to Submarius LLC, NOTICE_ADDRESS, PHONE_NUMBER, support@torrere.com.
  9. Third-party terms. You must comply with any applicable third-party terms when using Torrere — for example, your wireless data plan.
  10. Third-party beneficiary. Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement. On your acceptance of it, Apple has the right (and is deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce this agreement against you as a third-party beneficiary.
