Torrere undoes one change and puts back what it replaced

Checked against the app on .

Every change Torrere makes to a recipe can be undone on its own, from its card, not only the most recent one. Undo doesn't just delete what the change added: it puts back what the change replaced, the old amount, the old wording, a removed step and the ingredients that went with it. Every change is a numbered version of the recipe, and an undo is a new version too.

Torrere's undo button is on each change card

Open Details on a change card in Torrere and Undo this change is at the bottom. There's no confirmation, because undo can itself be undone. The undo arrives as a new card that says "Undid that change." If the change was already undone, Torrere says "That change was already undone."

Torrere undoes changes out of order

Because every change in Torrere records exactly what it added and what it replaced, undoing an older change leaves the later ones standing. Undo the change that halved the butter three changes ago, and the butter goes back without touching the mushrooms you took out since.

Torrere redoes by undoing the undo

Torrere has no Redo button. Undo the "Undid that change." card instead, and the change comes back.

Torrere can't undo three things

The start of a recipe can't be undone, because there's nothing before it. On a recipe written in conversation, that means the first card with the recipe on it has no undo button. A change of servings has no undo button either; move the servings back instead. A name you give a recipe on Saved recipes isn't a change card, so it has no undo; rename it again.

Torrere numbers every version

Each change makes a new version of the recipe in Torrere, and its number shows on the change card as v and a number, and on each row of Saved recipes. The Ingredients button on any change card shows the ingredient list as it was at that card's version. Torrere has no screen for reading an old version's steps.
